Atrax Group’s decades-long business relationship with China has been recognised with a category award and the supreme award, at the recent 2024 Yili Group New Zealand-China Trade Association (NZCTA) China Business Awards gala dinner in Auckland.

Atrax Group won the Comvita Award for Innovation in Business between China and New Zealand. It was also crowned with the Supreme Winner Award.

Kevin Maurice, Atrax Group’s founder and managing director, says the awards crown more than three decades of doing business in China and with Chinese partners.

“We have been doing business in and with China for over 34 years. Atrax manufactures and supplies baggage and cargo scales, and weighing, measuring and control equipment for international and domestic airport and logistics clients around the world. Our business relationship with China is crucial to our global operation.

“Today, our scales and systems are used every day in airports in over 160 countries and territories, including airports in all four of China’s Municipalities, and all except one of its Provinces. We have a regional sales and support office in Shanghai, and we manufacture and source product in Guangdong.

“It takes an entire team, and partners, to build a successful business – and these awards pay tribute to the consistent hard work and continued dedication to maintaining and further developing a solid, productive and mutually beneficial relationship with our Chinese counterparts,” Maurice said.

The NZCTA China Business Awards are held every two years to recognise the efforts of companies doing business between New Zealand and China.
